Goa Minimum Wages Notification April 2024: Revised VDA Rates

The Government of Goa has released a new notification revising the minimum wages for various scheduled employments, effective from 1st April 2024. This revision, stated in Notification No. CLE/PA/MWA-VDA/(10)/2016/2947, includes updates to the Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) based on the average Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the preceding six months. Revised Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA): The VDA has been revised based on the CPI for the period from July 2023 to December 2023, which reached 399.69 points, rounded to 400 points, resulting in an increase of 21 points for industrial workers. The new rate of VDA is set at Rs. 125 per day for various categories of employees employed in scheduled employments​​.

2. Effective Date: The revised rates come into effect from 1st April 2024​​.
