The Central Government has recently announced the extension of the Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) Scheme to six more districts in Manipur. According to the notification, the provisions of sections 38 to 43, sections 45A to 45I, sections 46 to 73, sections 74 and 75, and sub-sections (2) to (4) of section 76, section 82, and section 83 of the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948 will be enforced in these districts.
